Court Session Held May 28
Judge Douglas W. Herman of the 39th Judicial District and the Fulton/Franklin County Court of Common Pleas presided over a court session at the Fulton County Courthouse on Tuesday, May 28.
Joshua Ryan Chaney was granted a continuance last Tuesday, allowing sentencing to be continued until July 16.
Robert Allen Helsel IV appeared in court for sentencing on charges related to driving under the influence but requested to withdraw his plea. Helsel also asked for the appointment of new counsel, but his request was denied by Judge Herman. In the event a motion for withdrawal of a plea is denied, Helsel will be sentenced on July 16.
Kathy Lynn Dere waived her right to formal arraignment by mail. Dere entered a not-guilty plea to terroristic threats and harassment. She will next appear in court for call of the criminal trial list on July 9.
Ashley Marie Ronnenberg waived arraignment proceedings held on two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and three summary offenses. Ronnenberg pleaded guilty to the first count of driving under the influence and will be sentenced July 16.
Tina Ann Shank waived arraignment proceedings last Tuesday on two counts related to hindering prosecution or apprehension. Shank pleaded guilty to one of those two counts and was ordered to complete 12 months probation and 30 hours community service.
Paul Shane M. DeShong appeared in court in three cases of parole/ probation violations. DeShong admitted to the violations and was scheduled to be sentenced June 4.
Wykil Laquan Sherrod appeared for a motions hearing and entered a guilty plea to firearms not to be carried without a license. He will be sentenced July 16.
