Charles P. House Berkeley Springs, 57

Charles Phillip “Chuck” House, 57, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.

Born January 30, 1956, in Greensboro, N.C., he was the son of the late John Frank and Lena Margaret Simmons House.

He recently reaffirmed his faith in God. He attended public schools in Oldtown, md., and then served with the U.S. Army. He worked as a mechanic with Dual Highway Motors in Hagerstown. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483 in Berkeley Springs and AMVETS Post 38 in Falling Waters, W.Va. He enjoyed hunting, camping and his Kubota tractor.

He is survied by his wife of 35 years, Victoria Lynn Stotler House, at home; a son, Charles Phillip House II, Berkeley Springs; two sisters: Lena Marie Waite and her husband, Kenny, and Carolyn Sue Montgomery, all of Hustontown; two brothers: James Frank House and his wife Nancy, Manchester, Md., Glen Richard House and his wife, Kathy, McVeytown, Pa.; his father-in-law, Robert Lester Stotler, Berkeley Springs; two sisters-in-law: Bobbi Lea “ Bubba” Stevens, Berkeley Springs, and Arlene Marie Stotler, Martinsburg; many nieces and nephews ;and his special doggie, “Boo.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters: Charlene Stotler and Lynda House; a sister, Margaret Ann Crawford; and his mother-in-law, Bonnie June Mason Stotler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 31, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Pastor Everett Powell will officiate. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. on Thursday, May 30, at the funeral home which will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
