Chlorous L. Little Great Cacapon, WVa., 98

Chlorous Linda Little, 98, Great Cacapon, W.Va., formerly of Hancock, Md., died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Great Cacapon.

Born March 14, 1915, in Cold Run Valley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Underwood and Martha Irene Henry Hovermale.

She was a Christian. She attended Valley School in Cold Run Valley and worked seasonally at Milton Michael’s Canning Factory. She was a member of AARP and had worked at the Interwoven Hosiery Mill in Martinsburg, W.Va. She had been a homemaker in recent years.

Surviving are two sons: William Benjamin Little of Fulton County, and Samuel Alexander Little of Treasure Island, Fla.; two daughters: Linda Ann Litton of Needmore and Chlorous Myrna Little of Great Cacapon; one foster daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Zeitler of Great Cacapon; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Norman Little; one son, Philip Thomas Little; nine sisters: Jessie Wilson, Flossie Claypool, Rebecca Stotler, May Harris, Leslie Hull, Mary Swink, Rella Hobday, Nettie Stotler and Fern Stotler; and three brothers: Millard, Charles and Harvey Hovermale.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Helsley- Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs. Rev. Robert Robinson officiated. Interment was in St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Hancock.
