It was a pretty nice weekend until the clouds started to appear.

Hope everyone took the time to go out and vote. That is a very important privilege we have.

It was good to hear from Jo (Rouzer) Shoemaker of Chambersburg. She was formerly from Fulton County.

A nice crowd attended Knobsville United Methodist Church worship service on Sunday morning.

Sorry to hear Pastor Bill and Joan Kuhn are leaving Knobsville Church and Fairview United Methodist Church in June. We wish them well in their new home and retirement or whatever they choose. We will miss them. We welcome Pastor Jean, who will be arriving on Friday, June 21.

I wish to thank everyone for the cards and gifts for my birthday last week. A year rolls around very quickly.

As I’m writing these items the news of the disasterous tornadoes in Oklahoma and surrounding area are terrible. Our heart goes out to those in the path of the storm. We never know how quickly our lifestyle can be in jeopardy when nature strikes.

Household hint: Don’t have a flour sifter? You don’t really need one. A kitchen sieve does just as well. You can make your own temporary funnel – just clip the corner of a small paper bag for liquids.
