Lerew To Serve As Chairman Of Sulcove For Judge Committee

The Jerrold Sulcove for Judge Committee announced last week that Lynn Lerew, of 137 Harvest Lane, Chambersburg, has agreed to serve as the committee’s chairman following the passing of its former chairman, Dr. Roy A. Himelfarb, on April 23.

According to Jan Sulcove, cotreasurer of the Committee, “Despite ongoing health problems, Dr. Himelfarb oversaw the formation and operations of the committee in an active and professional manner, representative of the way in which he lived and practiced medicine. His dedication to the campaign and the advice that he was able to provide as a long-time resident of Chambersburg will be deeply missed by the committee. Jerrold and the committee are pleased that Mr. Lerew has agreed to fill the vacancy caused by Dr. Himelfarb’s passing.”

Lerew, also a longtime resident and well-known member of the Chambersburg community, served the Chambersburg Area School District as its CASHS Band director for 26 years and later in administration. He is active in the volunteer community as a member of the Board of Directors of Occupational Services Inc. and the Gilmore-Hoerner Endowment. Lerew is a wellknown musician and music director of the Hagerstown Municipal Band.
