Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

Those May temperatures are still a little on the cool side.

Hope all mothers had a nice Mother’s Day with family and friends.

Pastor Bill Kuhn was taken to the hospital on Sunday from Fairview United Methodist Church, but glad to hear he will possibly be home this week. Hope he continues to a recovery.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. had a great crowd for its Mother’s Day dinner. They wish to thank everyone for the help and support. They are a great group of folks who deserve our support.

June Bennett of Carlisle spent a couple days with her mother, Kate Berkstresser. She also visited Harvey and Pat Berkstresser.

Just a reminder that the spring primary is Tuesday, May 21. Hope everyone who is eligible to vote will plan to vote. It is a privilege that is very important.

Harvey and Pat Berkstresser and Herbie and Tammy Berkstresser took Kate Berkstresser for a Mother’s Day and birthday dinner on Saturday evening at New Fort Restaurant.

Household Hint: Plastic ties from green goods from the store are great to fasten up your fragile plants. You can save them and use year after year. You will find them with many kinds of trash bags. They are better than the paper-coated metal ones.
