Pa. School Board Member Facing Assault Charge
STROUDSBURG, Pa. (AP) – A school board member in northeastern Pennsylvania is facing charges after authorities say he assaulted another board member following a meeting last year.
The Pocono Record reports 42-year-old Harvey R. Frable III is facing aggravated assault and other charges in connection with a parking lot altercation that followed a Pleasant Valley School Board meeting in Chestnuthill Township in December.
Investigators say the defendant followed fellow board member Jim Spinola out to his car, asking if he had been talking about him. Police say Frable then slammed a car door on Spinola's shoulder several times after an expletive- laced tirade.
Frable’s attorney, Nicholas R. Sabatine III, did not return calls from the newspaper.
It wasn't immediately known what led to the altercation.
