Warfordsburg Woman Arrested For Statutory Sexual Assault
A Warfordsburg area woman remains free on unsecured bail after being arrested last month for an alleged sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.
On April 16 Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg filed two counts of involuntary sexual deviate intercourse and six counts each of statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors against 25-year- old Tiffany Nicole Swope of 338 Bards Dairy Lane.
Swope was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Tamela Bard and will appear for a preliminary hearing Monday, May 6, in Fulton County Central Court.
Allegations against Swope stem from a conversation between the victim and his foster mother regarding his being sexually active and the possibility that he may be the father of Swope’s 15-month-old child. That information, arresting officer Trooper Timothy Lear stated in an affidavit of probable cause, was turned over to Fulton County Services for Children on February 19, 2013.
Later that month, Trooper Lear spoke with the victim and learned the alleged sexual activity occurred between November 2010 and March 2011 at 2108 Fairview Road, Warfordsburg. The affidavit alleges what began as “flirting” turned into Swope having inappropriate contact with the boy six to seven times.
