FCMC To Hold Volunteer Meeting

For individuals and families interested in giving of their time and talents, Fulton County Medical Center has plenty of volunteer opportunities available, seven days a week. The Med Center will hold an informational volunteer meet and greet on Tuesday, May 14, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the long-termcare activities room. Please use long-term-care entrance and follow signage.

Volunteers are needed in the areas of long-term-care, activities, Foundation, special events, auxiliary and the Corner Gift Shop. This volunteer event will provide an opportunity to tour the facility in a relaxed, informal session and speak with current volunteers and get an idea of the areas of need.

Some of the long-term-care activities volunteers have participated in the past year include: musicals, special church services, Christmas light tours, ice cream runs, scenic drives all over Fulton County, Fulton County Fair, bingo, East Broad Top Trolley, Proud Mary showboat at Raystown Lake, alpaca farm, Tuscarora Wildlife Environmental Program, FFFF parade, fall foliage rides, shopping trips, fishing at Mercersburg Sportsman Assoc., bowling, festivals, parades, dinner outings at restaurants within an hour’s ride, picnic at James Buchanan’s birthplace and Cowans Gap to celebrate Grandparents Day.
