Helping Polly Richards celebrate her 92nd birthday on Thursday, April 18, with a luncheon at her home were her husband K.G., daughter-in-law Nancy Richards, her brother Andrew and wife Nora Grissinger of Shippensburg, her sisters, Dorothy of here and Florine, and Dwight Gordon of Needmore. All enjoyed a great meal and a good visit.

Richard “ Dickie” and Pam Glenn will observe their 37th wedding anniversary May 1.

Sympathy to the family of Ed Peffer who passed away this week.

Clara Hedrick will be 80 years old May 1. She would enjoy cards. Her address is PO Box 80, McConnellsburg.

McConnellsburg St. Paul Lutheran Church enjoyed music by the “Holligans,” consisting of John Kelso and friends of Baltimore at Sunday services. John is formerly of here. A brunch was served afterwards.

Letterkenny Army Depot cancelled Armed Forces Day activities for the first time in 71 years last week.

Junior and Hannalore “Honey” Hann and Honey’s daughter, Caren, of Illinois, recently returned from visit- ing with grandson and other relatives and friends in Germany and other countries for 12 days. The weather was very cold while there.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student-athletes were Macey Hollenshead of Southern Fulton for track and field and Jesse Swope, McConnellsburg baseball.

A Mic and Jam night was held Saturday at the alumni gym, featuring “The Silver Creek Band.”
