McCbg. Elementary Students Recognized


Olivia Alexander Olivia Alexander The month of March is Art in Education/Youth in Art Month. Olivia Alexander, a third-grade student at Mc- Connellsburg Elementary School; Lexi Richards, an eighth-grade student at Mc- Connellsburg Middle School, and Alisha Gladfelter, a junior at McConnellsburg High School, have been recognized for their display of artistic ability in the visual arts program.

Olivia is the daughter of Scott and Val Alexander of McConnellsburg. She is a strong academic student who has been on the “All A” honor roll, has been awarded the Penmanship Award, and has received first-place in art contests sponsored by the Fulton County Fair. She is an active member of AYSO soccer and Bi-Valley softball teams.

Lexi is the daughter of Ryan and Kim Richards of McConnellsburg. She is a strong academic student who has been on the “All A” honor roll. She is a member of the Junior National Honor Society. She is active in 4-H, Yearbook Club and Relay for Life. In addition, she is the captain of Lexi’s Life Savers (an affiliate of Relay for Life). She enjoys dance and is a member of Miss Dicey’s School of Dance.


Lexi Richards Lexi Richards Alisha is the daughter of Christopher and Brenda Gladfelter. She is a talented art student, who is active in Cito and McConnellsburg United Methodist Church Youth Group (SMA), SADD and chorus. She enjoys drawing, reading and hanging out with her friends and family.
