The jackets were the result of the generous donations of local Fulton County Farm Bureau members.

Each county chapter was given the opportunity to receive a jacket for a deserving member. The interested members wrote an essay describing why they wished to receive a jacket. The members were asked to include information about their farm background, what activities they hoped to enjoy through FFA and any other family members that were FFA members.

Morton’s Feed Mill donated a jacket for the McConnellsburg chapter. Eighth grader Isaac Sain, wrote the winning essay for his chapter. Knepper’s Dairy donated a jacket for the Forbes Road chapter, and Erica Carbaugh was the recipient. And Pigeon Cove Dairy supplied a jacket for Warfordsburg member, Jill Palmer.

“ I am really glad that I received my jacket,” exclaimed Isaac Sain! “I am looking forward to wearing it throughout my FFA career.”

“The Fulton County Farm Bureau has generously supported the local FFA chapters through this program, and in many other ways throughout the years,” stated McConnellsburg advisor Ann Meyer. “Their guidance and generosity is greatly appreciated by the three local chapters.”
