SF Lady Indians Fall To Tri-Valley

Tri-Valley 82

Southern Fulton 45

Tri-Valley put an end to Southern Fulton’s winning streak and hopes of bringing home a state championship to an end last Tuesday evening.

Having been to the quarterfinal round of PIAA Class A plays for the last five seasons as well as to the semifinals twice over the last four years, the Tri-Valley Lady Bulldogs proved to be a worthy adversary for the Lady Indians.

During the semifinal game played at East Pennsboro, the Bulldogs quickly jumped out to a 26-point lead and continued to slowly build upon that deficit against the Indians, who were led by junior Macey Hollenshead. Hollenshead closed out the night with 13 points, five rebounds and two assists.

Teammate Kayla Wertz was the next-highest scorer for Southern Fulton with 11 points.

Never having been this far in the state playoffs, the Lady Indians proudly closed out the season with an overall record of 26-4.
