Court Session Held Last Tuesday

Judge John R. Walker of the 39th Judicial District and the Fulton County Court of Common Pleas presided over a court session held at the Fulton County Courthouse on Tuesday, March 19.

 Caleb Miller Koons appeared in court last Tuesday for resentencing on a case dating back to 2011. Koons was ordered to serve between six and 30 months in a state correctional institution. The sentence will run simultaneously with a sentence imposed earlier that day for statutory sexual assault.

 Andrew Lee Anderson waived his right to formal arraignment held on one count each of possession of a small amount of marijuana and the use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Anderson entered a guilty plea to the use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

 Joseph Anthony Runk was granted a continuance for arraignment on three counts of theft and one count of forgery.

 Jonathan Nathanial Bakner appeared in court for a probation/parole-violation. Bakner was resentenced to 24 months of intermediate punishment, which will include three months of work release.
