R. Weldon Schline Warfordsburg, 92

R. Weldon Schline, 92, formerly of Warfordsburg, died Tuesday March 5, 2013, at Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, Pa.

Born March 19, 1920, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late William H. and Mary C. Dentz Schline.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, in Burma, India, China and Germany.

He was retired from the railroad as a maintenance mechanic.

He was a member of Warfordsburg United Methodist Church, a private school supervisor, and he was an accomplished artist in oil painting.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews; close friends Calvin and Cheryl Barton and Roger, Randy and Ronnie Ward.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.

Services were held Saturday March 9, at 11 a.m. at Warfordsburg United Metho- dist Church. Rev. Frank Kocek officiated. Burial was in the Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, Amaranth, Pa.
