Mary L. Coffman Desert Hot Springs, Calif., 61

Mary Louise Coffman, 61, Desert Hot Springs, Calif., died of cancer, Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Desert Hot Springs.

She was born December 31, 1951, the daughter of Frank Dean Sr. and Jessie Dean of Connellsville, Pa. She was married to Donald Coffman on April 18, 1983, at Connellsville, Pa.

She was a licensed vocational nurse for 20 years. She was a nurse for President Gerald Ford and Betty Ford.

She was a member of Girl Scouts and was a Cub Scout leader and also a Girl Scout leader. She was also a foster parent.

Surviving are her husband, Donald Coffman, Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; daughters: Michelle Coffman, Desert Hot Springs; Kelly Addis, South Connellsville, Pa.; and Tracy Coffman, Vanderbuilt, Pa.; sons: Dean Coffman, Desert Hot Springs; D.J. Coffman, Scottdale, Pa.; Sammy Skipper, Huntingdon; and Perry Skipper, Mount Union; brothers: Frank Dean Jr., Acme, Pa.; James Dean, Connellsville, Pa.; Thomas Dean, Chicago, Ill.; Charles Dean, McConnellsburg; and David Dean, Aptas, Calif.; her mother, Jessie Dean, Connellsville, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pastor Frank Dean Sr.

Memorial services were held at noon Friday, March 8, at Desert Hot Springs, Calif.

Memorial services will also be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 16, at Pleasant Valley Community Church in Connellsville, Pa.
