Court Session Held March 5
Judge Angela R. Krom of the 39th Judicial District and the Fulton/Franklin County Court of Common Pleas presided over a court session held last Tuesday, March 5, at the Fulton County Courthouse
Justin Allen Garlock was granted a continuance until April 16 at which time he will be sentenced for simple assault. In an unrelated case, Garlock entered a guilty plea to one count of simple assault. Sentencing in that matter will also occur on April 16.
John David Hartman was ordered to complete between 72 hours and six months in the Franklin County Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol, a Tier 3, first-offense. He will be paroled at the completion of the minimum sentence and will complete 30 hours of community service and alcohol/highway safety school. Various costs were imposed, including a $1,000 fine.
David Scott Hughes was ordered to five days to six months in the Bedford County Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol, a Tier 1, second- offense. Hughes will be released following the completion of the minimum sentence. He will complete 30 hours community service and alcohol/highway safety school. Hughes will also pay a $300 fine.
Gary Eugene Bradshaw waived his right to formal arraignment on charges of driving under the influence and eight vehicle, summary offenses. Bradshaw pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and will be sentenced at a later date.
Tiffany Marie Hopkins was granted a continuance on charges of retail theft.
Joudy Ann Lazor waived arraignment held on charges of two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and five summary offenses. Lazor pleaded not guilty and will next appear in court on April 9 for call of the criminal trial list.
Antonio Everette McNear waived formal arraignment and entered a guilty plea to the use or possession of drug paraphernalia. McNear will be sentenced at a later date.
Wykil Laquan Sherrod waived arraignment via mail on one count each of firearms not to be carried without a license and possession of a small amount of marijuana; two counts of possession of a controlled substance; three counts of the use or possession of marijuana; and one summary offense.
Crystal Leigh Rogers failed to appear for a probation/ parole-violation hearing. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest.
