Man Accused Of Setting Lover Afire Is Arrested

SPRINGDALE, Pa. (AP) – A Pittsburgh-area man accused of throwing perfume on his girlfriend and setting her on fire has been arrested.

Police tell the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that 27-yearold Clinton C. Cohen of Wilkinsburg was arrested Saturday afternoon.

A criminal complaint says Cohen got into a fight with 22-year-old Maria Redman on Thursday morning at a Springdale apartment. Redman says Cohen punched her, then doused her with perfume and pulled out a cigarette lighter.

The couple’s 3-month-old daughter was in the room during the attack but was unharmed. Redman's parents are caring for her.
