Dodgeball Tournament A Success
The eighth- grade Character Education Class at McConnellsburg Middle School decided to help others as part of their community outreach project and held a dodgeball tournament on Sunday, February 24, at the alumni gym in Mc- Connellsburg. The class raised more than $4,300 for Cody Trail, an 11thgrader at McConnellsburg High School, and Tristan Douglas, an 11thgrader at Southern Fulton High School. These two young men are both fighting a rare form of cancer.
The students were amazed at the outstanding turnout of teams and spectators. Twenty-one teams squared off to “Dodge Cancer” in support of Cody and Tristan.
