Judge Rejects New Trial, Sentence For Pa. Killer
ERIE, Pa. (AP) – A judge says a northwestern Pennsylvania woman who killed boyfriend after she “smelled sex” on him doesn't deserve a new trial or a sentence less than 18 to 40 years in prison.
The Erie Times-News reports that Erie County Judge Shad Connelly on Thursday rejected the post-trial motions filed by 31-year- old Rachel Kozloff, who was sentenced last month.
Kozloff claimed she killed Michael Henry in self-defense during an argument at his Erie apartment on April 12. But prosecutors say that even after Henry told Kozloff he did not want to see her again, she went to the apartment and shot him several times as his 10-month-old son slept in another room, then left without helping him.
