Police Say Philly Man Sold Guns To Teen Dealer

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – A Philadelphia man has been charged with the straw purchase of four guns for a 16- year-old accused drug dealer, who then allegedly used one of those guns to shoot another man.

District Attorney Seth Williams says 32-year- old Luke Dercole was arrested Wednesday night and is charged with multiple weapons counts. Straw purchasers are people who buy guns for felons barred by law from owning firearms.

Dercole is accused of selling the guns to the Philadelphia teen in exchange for heroin. Police say the teen then used one of the guns to shoot a 20-year-old man.

Dercole is being held on $500,000 bail. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
