Forbes Road 47

The Forbes Road Cardinals couldn’t get their offense started last Thursday and ended the Sideling Hill League match in a 75-47 loss to Fannett-Metal. Shayla Carmack rallied for 11 points and four rebounds for the Lady Cardinals. Braylin Hohman followed with eight points and four rebounds.

Southern Fulton 67

McConnellsburg 34

Macey Hollenshead dominated Southern Fulton’s offensive and defensive efforts last Thursday, leading the Lady Indians to a 67-34 win over to McConnellsburg. Hollenshead had 24 points, 11 steals, 11 assists and seven rebounds. Taelor Morton and Kayla Chilcote finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively. The Lady Spartans were led by Brittany Parson and Jessi Keefer with eight points each. Keefer also contributed six rebounds and one blocked shot.

McConnellsburg 40

Forbes Road 30

For the second time this season the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans prevailed over Forbes Road. The Spartans clinched Saturday’s Sideling Hill League match by the score of 40-30 with Libby Strayer paving the way with 13 points. Jessi Keefer posted 10 points and five blocked shots. Shayla Carmack netted 13 points to the lead the Cardinals, who also received seven points and seven rebounds from Braylin Hohman.

Southern Fulton 61

Tussey Mountain 33

Southern Fulton clinched the Sideling Hill League title as well as its 20th win of the season Saturday with a big 61-33 win over Tussey Mountain. Macey Hollenshead tallied 16 points, three steals and eight assists for the Indians, who received 13 points apiece from Taelor Morton and Ashley Roman.

Forbes Road 49

Everett and Forbes Road kept it close during the first half of last Tuesday’s Sideling Hill League game, but the Lady Warriors pushed ahead to extend their lead into a 60-49 victory. Shayla Carmack rallied for 17 points, and Braylin Hohman added 13 points and one blocked shot. Meanwhile, Corri Parsons finished out the day with 10 points.

Southern Fulton 73

Southern Huntingdon 21

Macey Hollenshead closed out last Tuesday’s match with 21 points and became the newest Southern Fulton Indian to surpass the 1,000- point career mark. During the Indians 73-21 win over Southern Huntingdon, Hollenshead also had nine assists, four rebounds and seven steals. Kayla Wertz also had a big evening with 19 points, while Taelor Morton scored 16 points.

Belleville Mennonite 20

Shayla Carmack led the Forbes Road Cardinals’ offense to a sizeable 50-20 nonleague win over Belleville Mennonite last Monday evening. Carmack finished out the night with 18 points and six steals, and Shania Gelvin was the next-highest scorer with eight points and three assists.

McConnellsburg led by three points after the first period last Thursday, but the narrow lead dwindled and ended in a 16-point loss to Chestnut Ridge. Tyler Green posted 12 points, four assists and four steals. Teammate Jesse Swope added 11 points and four assists.

Southern Fulton 71

McConnellsburg 30

Alex Seburn posted some impressive numbers for the Southern Fulton Indians, who ran away for a 41-point Sideling Hill League win over the McConnellsburg Spartans. Seburn finished out Friday’s league match with 22 points, which included six three-point shots. Connor Litton added 15 points, four steals and eight rebounds, while Jordan Clingerman also had 15 points. Nick Smartt rounded out the night with 13 points. For the Spartans, Tony White was the lone member of the Mc- Connellsburg squad to reach double digits. White had 11 points and five rebounds.

Forbes Road 67

Fannett-Metal 43

After falling to Fannett- Metal in double overtime earlier in the season, Forbes Road got its revenge Friday night with a decisive 67-43 Sideling Hill League win. Tristan Gelvin and Chase Shaw both scored 14 points for the Cardinals, and Shaw also added five assists and four steals. Gunner Strait and Kyle Schoen each tallied eight points.

Tussey Mountain 68

McConnellsburg 54

Tussey Mountain jumped out to a 20-point lead in the opening period last Tuesday night and cruised to a 68-54 win over McConnellsburg. Tyler Green led the Spartans’ scoring effort with 13 points, and Nick Daniels chipped in 12. Tony White added nine points and three assists.

Forbes Road used the middle periods last Wednesday evening to pull off a narrow 69- 61 Sideling Hill League win over the Everett Warriors. Tristan Gelvin netted 21 points and handed out four assists, while Kyle Schoen tallied 16 points. Tyson Berkstresser hit double figures as well with 13 points.

Southern Fulton 51

Chestnut Ridge 41

Brady Golden had a record evening for the Southern Fulton Indians, who downed first-place ranked Chestnut Ridge last Wednesday. Golden scored a careerhigh 18 points for the Indians, who beat Ridge 51-41. Nick Smartt posted 12 points and seven steals, and Alex Seburn rounded out the Sideling Hill League game with seven points.

Hyndman 65

McConnellsburg 59

McConnellsburg dropped its fifth straight match Monday night losing to Hyndman by a mere six points. Tyler Green had 16 points to lead the Spartans during the nonleague game, while teammate Jesse Swope chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds. Hunter Miller and Tony White both added 12 points, and White also posted seven assists and four steals.

Chestnut Ridge 54

Forbes Road 35

Forbes Road’s three-game winning streak came to a halt Monday night when Chestnut Ridge pulled away for a 54-35 Sideling Hill League win. Tristan Gelvin was the lone member of the Cardinal squad to reach double digits with 12 points. Kyle Schoen was the next highest scorer with nine points.
