The 29th annual Sweet- heart Ball was held on Saturday evening at American Legion Post 561, with dinner, dancing and auctions following. Funds raised will benefit Tristan Douglas and family and other charities.

Fulton County Farm Women Society met on February 7 in the home of Dorothy Randler, with a spoon meal being served.

A surprise 14th birthday party was held on Sunday for Samuel Blumenthal by his mother, Terri McGarvey Blumenthal, and Kevin Kelley in Carlisle. His siblings, Eli and Isabel, were present and family members from this area, Scotland, Pa., and Waynesboro and William Hill enjoyed the celebration.

Winter storm Nemo crippled the Northeast on Friday and Saturday with quite a bit of snow, 30 inches and more, and high winds.

Beverly Cisney of Erie, and a former resident of Mc- Connellsburg, was visiting with her high school friends over the weekend and attended church services at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Mc- Connellsburg on Sunday.
