Curtis C. Fox Hedgesville, 88
Calvin Curtis “Cab” Fox, age 88, of Hedgesville, WV, died on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, WV.
Born September 26, 1924 in Sleepy Creek, WV. He was the son of the late Clarence Russell and Louella Mae Castle Fox.
He was a member of The Refuge in Berkeley Springs. He attended the Red Hill School in Sleepy Creek. Cab retired in 1987 from CECO Corporation in Bladensburg, MD where he had worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local #132 in Silver Spring, MD. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed tending his fish pond.
He is survived by two sons, Dwight David Fox of Sleepy Creek and Craig Steven Fox of Berkeley Springs, two daughters, Cheryl Ann Cain of Sleepy Creek and Brenda Fox Hashem of Berkeley Springs, 14 grandchildren, Rex Garland Spangler of Winston- Salem, NC, Max Edward Spangler of Pinnacle, NC, Kathy Jo Lashley of Hancock, MD, Kenneth Dwight Fox of Warfordsburg, PA, Kevin Wayne Fox of Sleepy Creek, Steven David Cain and Christopher Ernest Cain, both of Cherry Run, WV, Jonathan Ray Cain and Ashley Michelle Briscoe, both of Sleepy Creek, Benjamin Samuel Fox, Joshua Stephen Fox, Danielle Elizabeth Fox, Kaitlyn Grace Hashem and Natalie Frances Hashem, all of Berkeley Springs, 15 great grandchildren, one great great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Frances Trail Fox on September 5, 1998, one daughter, Janet Marie Spangler, one sister, Mildred Heavener and one brother, Clarence Fox.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Helsley- Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs with Pastor Kenneth Smith officiating. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery, Sleepy Creek.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
