Courthouse Pillar-Replacement Project Continues

The community has watched with interest as contractor R.A. Hill Inc. employees continue work on the replacement of the six columns found on the facade of the county’s mid-19th century Greek Revival style courthouse.

The old brick columns are being replaced with steel supports that are covered with glass fiber reinforced concrete columns. The project was budgeted by the current board of commissioners at a cost of $78,000.
