Several more speedways have released their 2013 racing schedules, including Hesston, Port Royal and Selinsgrove.
Hesston has seven events on the slate this season, mostly all higher-paying and extra-distance Late Model shows. Hesston’s opener will be on May 4 with the Late Model Sportsman as a headline, followed by a May 26 Speedmonster Three State Flyer Late Model show. Another Late Model Sportsman show is planed for June 16, with another Three State Late Model event on July 4 along with July 28. The Three State Flyers will be back on September 1 with the Ultimate series weekend ending the year October 11-12.
Selinsgrove Speedway opens its 51st season with 410 Sprints on Sunday March 10. The 410 Sprints will be on the schedule four more times during the year, including the Ray Tilley Classic over Memorial Day, the Jan Opperman Memorial during PA Speedweek, the Jim Nace Memorial on September 14 and again on October 6. The Nace Memorial will be a 44-lap $12,000-towin event this season, op- posed to the twin 22-lap features of the past.
Port Royal Speedway has nearly 30 total events on the agenda for 2013, and it will kick off Saturday March 16 with the 410 and 358 Sprint cars. Port’s schedule mirrors last year for the most parts with many special nights planned during the season along with the return of the All- Star Sprints, USAC, Three State Flyers plus the Living Legends Dream race, the 305 Sprints, ARDC and a tractor pull.
