Gerald L. Culler McConnellsburg, 83

Gerald Lee “Joe” Culler, 83, McConnellsburg, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Fulton County Medical Center.

He was born September 7, 1929, in Webster Mills, Pa., the son of the late John and Lelia (Comerer) Culler.

He served in the United States Army beginning in 1952 and was stationed in Germany. He was married to Bessie Wagner Culler on October 26, 2005. He was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg as an operator until his retirement. After retirement, he raised beef cattle on the family farm.

He is survived by his wife Bessie M. Culler of McConnellsburg; four children: Terry J. Culler of McConnellsburg; Betsy (wife of Dwayne) Northcraft of Three Springs; Gerald Culler Jr. of North Carolina; and Sarah Wilkins of North Carolina; two stepchildren: Stewart Mason of McConnellsburg, and Laura McQuade of McConnellsburg; six grandchildren and numerous great-randchildren; siblings: Jean Weller of McConnellsburg; Donald N. “Pete” Culler, McConnellsburg; Dolores Souders of Mc- Connellsburg;, Martha Gordon of McCon-nellsburg; Patricia Horton of McConnellsburg; and Saundra Shaffer of Harrisburg, Pa.

He was preceded by his parents John F. and Lelia Culler and five siblings: Merrill Culler, Marjorie Glenn, Harvey James “H.J.” Culler, Betty Davis and an infant sister, Alma.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2013, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in McConnellsburg. Interment was at Union Cemetery.
