It’s been a quiet week on the racing front as the countdown until the first green flag on February 23 has begun.
Of course, Lincoln Speedway will kick off the Northeast racing season with the Icebreaker 30 for 410 Sprint cars. Following Lincoln, other local speedways will begin to open the gates throughout the month of March.
Hagerstown Speedway will have its annual Race-ARama car show at the Valley Mall that will run March 4-9 and display lots of racing machines that will circle the Maryland oval this season. The track will then have a Test and Tune on March 16, followed by its first event of the year, the Brawl in the Fall that was canceled in October. It will be held Sunday March 17, featuring the 410 Sprints, Late Models, Modifieds and 358 Sprints.
The All-Star Sprint cars will soon be heading south to Georgia as they kick off the Eastern Tour at Screven Motor Speedway on February 7 then head to Bubba Raceway Park for two nights of action February 8-9. The All-Stars then join the World of Outlaws at Volusia Speedway Park beginning February 13 which will feature five nights of action at VSP.
