McConnellsburg 57

Forbes Road 44

McConnellsburg and Forbes Road battled it out over three periods Friday night before the Spartans were able to pull way for a big 57-44 Sideling Hill League win. Tyler Green tallied 26 points and made two steals for the Spartans, and Jesse Swope netted 12 points. Tyrell White chipped in 10 rebounds and four assists. For the Cardinals, Tyson Berkstresser led with 15 points. Chase Shaw and Tristan Gelvin added 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Fannett-Metal 65

Southern Fulton 62

Fannett-Metal edged out Southern Fulton Friday night to win the Sideling Hill League match by the narrow score of 65-62. Nick Smartt led the evening’s overall scoring with 25 points for the Indians as well as four assists. Jordan Clingerman and Brayden Litton both scored 12 points. Clingerman also had seven rebounds and two blocked shots.

Chestnut Ridge 62

McConnellsburg 34

McConnellsburg fell behind early and could never make up the deficit during a 62-34 loss to Chestnut Ridge. During the Sideling Hill League game, Tyler Green pumped in 12 points and dished out three assists, and Jesse Swope added 10 points. Tyrell White led the defense with 10 rebounds.

Highland View 102


Skyler Gordon reached and surpassed the 1,000 career point mark recently during the Fulton County Community Christian School’s 102-57 loss to Highland View. Gordon closed out the game with 45 points.


York County Day 22

Futon County Community Christian School jumped out to a 14-point lead and held on for a 30-22 victory over York County Day. Skyler Gordon tallied 22 points to lead the Chargers, who also received 16 rebounds from teammate Caleb Gingerich.

Tussey Mountain 73

McConnellsburg 56

Tussey Mountain was hot from the three-point zone last Tuesday and charged on to a 73- 56 Sideling Hill League victory over Mc- Connellsburg. Jesse Swope led the Spartans with 17 points and five assists, and teammate Tyrell White scored 12 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for a double double. Nick Daniels rounded out the game with 11 points.

Everett 43

Forbes Road 40

The Forbes Road Cardinals allowed a five-point lead to slip away last Tuesday with Everett closing out the Sideling Hill League game with a 43-40 win. Chase Shaw and Brock Broadwater each posted eight points for Forbes Road, and Shaw also had four assists and three steals. Kyle Schoen led the defense with nine rebounds.

Southern Fulton 68

Southern Huntingdon 37

Southern Fulton extended its 20-point lead following the halftime break and ended last Tuesday’s Inter- County Conference game against Southern Huntingdon with a 31-point victory. Nick Smartt tallied 15 points and three assists for the victorious Indians. Teammate Brady Golden also reached double digits with 12 points, and Brayden Litton posted 10 points and five rebounds.

Greencastle-Antrim 65

Southern Fulton 46

One member of the Southern Fulton Indians squad reached double figures but it wasn’t enough to prevail over Greencastle- Antrim, who pulled off a 65- 46 win last Monday. Jordan Clingerman rallied for 15 points and nine rebounds. Meanwhile, Brayden Litton and Alex Seburn added eight and seven points, respectively.

Forbes Road 30

Shayla Carmack tallied 21 points to lead all scorers last Thursday during Forbes Road’s 39-30 loss to the Mc- Connellsburg Lady Spartans. Carmack also had six rebounds as did teammate Braylin Hohman, who was the next-highest scorer with five points. Nikki Fleming posted 11 points for the winning Spartans and also had four assists. Jessi Keefer rounded out the Sideling Hill League match with nine points.

Southern Fulton 76

Fannett-Metal 46

Southern Fulton rolled on to pick up its 14th straight victory last Thursday night with a decisive 30- point trouncing of Fannett-Metal. Three members of the Lady Indians squad reached double digits. Macey Hollenshead paved the way with 21 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds. Ashley Roman made 20 points, and Taelor Morton followed with 18.

FCCCS 37 Highland View Academy 22

Fulton County Community Christian School Chargers jumped out to a quick lead and cruised to a recent 15-point win over Highland View Academy. Jenae Gordon netted 20 points to lead the Chargers.

York County Day 46


York County Day held the Fulton County Community Christian School Chargers to three points in the first half of a recent game and ended the match in a 46-20 victory. Jenae Gordon led the Charger offense with eight points, while Hannah Beddow grabbed 12 rebounds.

Southern Fulton 72

Juniata Valley 37

Macey Hollenshead closed out Saturday’s match with a career-high 33 points during Southern Fulton’s 72- 37 trouncing of Juniata Valley. Hollenshead also added seven assists and one blocked shot. Taelor Morton reached double digits as well with 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals.

Southern Fulton 73

Southern Huntingdon 23

Southern Fulton held its competitors from Southern Huntingdon to a total of four points during the second and third periods last Monday. In the end, the Indians closed out the Inter-County Conference with a 50-point win. Ashley Roman finished the match with a career-high 24 points and 12 rebounds. Macey Hollenshead followed with 17 points and nine assists, and Taelor Morton rallied for 15 points and eight steals.

Tussey Mountain 59

McConnellsburg 28

McConnellsburg’s offense was unable to reach double digits in any period last Monday and closed out the Sideling Hill League game with a 59-28 loss to Tussey Mountain. With 11 points scored, Jessi Keefer had almost half of the Lady Spartans’ overall points. Nikki Fleming chipped in eight points.

Everett 51

Forbes Road 45

The score was close throughout last Monday’s match between Everett and Forbes Road with the Lady Warriors prevailing by six points. Braylin Hohman netted 19 points and pulled down five rebounds, and teammate Shayla Carmack added 12 points and three assists. Sam Clippinger finished with six points, five rebounds and four steals.
