Helen D. Crouse McConnellsburg, 75

Helen D. Crouse, 75, a resident of the Fulton County Medical Center Extended Care Unit, McConnellsburg, and formerly of Big Cove Tannery, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Fulton County Medical Center, Mc- Connellsburg.

She was born in Big Cove Tannery, Pa., on May 15, 1937, the daughter of the late Foster and Margaret (Barnhart) Everts. She was the wife of Troy D. Crouse, whom she married on January 19, 1957.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Warfordsburg.

She worked at Sagner sewing factory in McConnellsburg. She was a babysitter and also a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters: Doris (wife of Sam) Simpson of Big Cove Tannery; Karen ( wife of Troy) Buterbaugh of Harrisonville; sons: Richard (husband of Dianna) Crouse of McConnellsburg; Gary (husband of Sandy) Crouse of Needmore; Randy (husband of Lana) Crouse of Big Cove Tannery; Michael (husband of Mary) Crouse of Big Cove Tannery; a sister, Freda Seburn of Greencastle; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Everts.

Services were held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Pastor Denver Plessinger and Pastor Dick Bernhard officiated. Interment was at Laurel Ridge Christian Church Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery.
