FR Band Participates In Concert



Junior high members of Forbes Road School District band travelled to Mercersburg Academy Saturday to participate in the annual Franklin-Fulton County Band concert. Held at the Burgin Center for the Arts, the junior high band was overseen by guest conductor Dr. Bradley Genevro, who selected a variety of tunes, including “Fanfare Ode & Festival,” “Flurry for Winds and Percussion,” “Horkstow Grange” from “Lincolnshire Posy,” “Renaissance Suite” and “The Thunderer.” Representing Forbes Road was front row, left: Krya Duvall, Lille Wilt, Lena Duvall; back row: Anthony Goshorn, Amber Stoey, Rachel Waite, Dustin Stoey and Casey Englert. They joined students from Chambersburg, Corpus Christi, Greencastle, James Buchanan, McConnellsburg, Mercersburg Academy, Shalom Christian Academy, Southern Fulton and Waynesboro. The senior high band was led by guest conductor Dr. William “Buzz” Jones.
