Forbes Road 68

Belleville Mennonite 32

Forbes Road’s four-game losing streak came to an end Monday evening when the Cardinals ran away for a 68- 32 non-league win over Belleville Mennonite. Tristan Gelvin led the Cardinals with 17 points, and Chase Shaw fell just short of a doubledouble with 11 points, nine steals and four assists. Teammates Kyle Schoen and Brock Broadwater both finished out the night with 10 points. Broadwater also had seven rebounds.

Hyndman 65

McConnellsburg 24

McConnellsburg was outscored by 19 points in the opening quarter Monday night and was unable to make up the deficit during a 65-24 loss to Hyndman. Hunter Miller finished with eight points for the Spartans, who also received seven points and four steals from Tyler Green.

Fannett-Metal 72

McConnellsburg 68

After a six-day layoff, the Fannett-Metal Tigers returned to the court Friday night to pull off a four-point win over the McConnellsburg Spartans. Tyler Green posted 20 points and four steals for the Spartans during the 72-68 Sideling Hill League loss. Jesse Swope followed with 16 points, and Tony White added 14 points, five assists and six rebounds.

Southern Fulton 64

Forbes Road 45

Southern Fulton snapped a two-game losing streak Friday night easily defeating the Forbes Road Cardinals by the score of 64-45. Jacob Ashkettle rallied for a double double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots. Brady Golden also reached double figures with 11 points, and Nick Smartt and Alex Seburn both chipped in nine points. For the Cardinals, Brock Broadwater netted 12 points, and teammates Tristan Gelvin and Chase Shaw both added eight.

Southern Fulton 62

Forbes Road 22

Southern Fulton held Forbes Road to one point during the opening period of last Thursday’s match and easily continued to outscore the Cardinals during the 62- 22 Sideling Hill League win. Macey Hollenshead and Kayla Wertz both netted 13 points for the Indians, and Hollenshead also made eight assists, five rebounds and five steals. Taelor Morton and Ashley Roman were the next-highest scorers with nine points. Shayla Carmack and Braylin Hohman both posted six points for the Cardinals.

Fannett-Metal 63

McConnellsburg 37

Fannett-Metal held a four-point lead after one period and extended it into a 63-37 win last Thursday over McConnellsburg. The Lady Spartans were led by Jessi Keefer with 11 points and nine rebounds. Brittany Parson tallied seven points and three steals.

McConnellsburg 44

Chestnut Ridge 40

McConnellsburg picked up its very first Sideling Hill League win this season with a narrow 44-40 victory over Chestnut Ridge Monday. Libby Strayer led her Lady Spartan teammates with 15 points, and Nikki Fleming posted six points, six assists, nine rebounds and one blocked shot.

Forbes Road broke a twogame losing streak Monday night in a very decisive 60-16 non-league win over Belleville Mennonite. Shayla Carmack netted 15 points and made four steals and Braylin Hohman contributed 14 points. The next-highest scorers were Sam Clippinger and Corri Parsons with six points.
