Truck Downs Wires, Knocks Out Power In Pa. Town

COLUMBIA, Pa. (AP) – Several hundred people are without power after a truck hit a utility pole in Lancaster County.

The Intelligencer Journal/ Lancaster New Era reports the accident happened in Columbia around 4 a.m. Friday. A tractor-trailer hit a parked car and a utility pole, knocking down power lines.

PPL says the accident knocked out power to more than 1,000 customers. The truck driver is being treated at a hospital.
