Broadfording 28

Southern Fulton continued on with its winning season Friday night trouncing Broadfording during the opening round of the Hancock Holiday tournament. Winning the tourney match 87-28, Macey Hollenshead posted a triple-double with 14 points, 20 assists and 10 steals. Taelor Morton led the team’s scoring with 19 points. Teammates Allison Spade and Ashley Roman followed with 14 and 12 points respectively.

Clear Spring 32

Southern Fulton came out hot in the opening half Saturday and easily cruised onto a 76-32 win over Clear Spring in the championship round of the Hancock Holiday tournament. Macey Hollenshead’s double-double provided the Lady Indians with 18 points, 10 assists and seven steals. She was also named the tournament’s most valuable player. Taelor Morton tallied 14 points, and Kayla Chilcote netted 10 points. Ashley Roman finished with eight points and nine rebounds.

Shalom Christian 47

Forbes Road and Shalom Christian held their fans captive until the final seconds of the game last Thursday with the Cardinals prevailing by only one point during the opening round of the Teddy Thanos Memorial Tournament. Sophomore Braylin Hohman led the Cardinals’ scoring and defensive efforts with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Sammie Clippinger was the next highest scorer with 11 points, and Shania Gelvin reached double digits with 10.

Forbes Road 50

Forbes Road fell just short of bringing the championship title home last Thursday night, narrowly falling to the Fannett-Metal Tigers in the final round of the Teddy Thanos Memorial Tournament. The Cardinals had even scoring from their starting squad during the match, which saw Shayla Carmack paving the way with 11 points. Teammate Sammie Clippinger added 10 points, and Corri Parsons, Shania Gelvin and Braylin Hohman totalled nine points each. Gelvin also had six assists, and Hohman pulled down 10 rebounds and made two steals.
