Maryland School for the Deaf 62

McConnellsburg’s offense kicked it up a notch Thursday night and clinched the consolation game of the Fannett Metal Christmas Tournament over the Maryland School for the Deaf. During the 78-62 win, Tyler Green had a stellar performance racking up 29 points for the victorious Spartans. Tony White added 19 points, and teammate Jesse Swope rounded out the evening with 11 points. White was also named to the All-Tournament Team.

Shalom 69

McConnellsburg 57

McConnellsburg opened up the first round of the Fannett Metal Christmas Tournament Thursday with a 12- point loss to Shalom Christian. Two members of the Spartan squad rallied for double digits during the tournament game. Tyler Green led the team’s offensive effort with 19 points, and Tony White chipped in 13 points.

Huntingdon 57

Forbes Road 46

The Huntingdon Bearcats led by four points at halftime and extended their lead into an 11-point victory over Forbes Road last Thursday. Dropping the opening round of the Huntingdon Lions Club Shootout by the score of 57-46, the Cardinals were led by Tristan Gelvin, who netted 20 points. Chase Shaw was the team’s next highest scorer with 14 points and four steals.

After having defeated Southern Huntingdon already this season, the Forbes Road Cardinals suffered a narrow loss to the Rockets Thursday night during the Huntingdon Lions Club Shootout. Losing the consolation game in overtime by one point, the Cardinals received 12 points from teammates Tyson Berkstresser and Macklin Hawkins. Berkstresser added four steals during the game, and teammate Tristan Gelvin added 11 points and four assists.
