NY Man Dies In Weather-related Pa. Crash
CORRY, Pa. (AP) – A New York man has died from injuries after his pickup truck skidded on an icy road in northwest Pennsylvania.
Police say 67-year- old Raymond C. Lawson Jr. of Westfield, N.Y. died Wednesday as a result of a one-vehicle crash near Corry at around 1:15 p.m. That's about 30 miles southeast of Erie.
According to police Lawson was driving a Ford F-150 truck when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle on the icy road. The vehicle veered off the left shoulder while Lawson was trying to negotiate a right curve, and it struck a large tree.
Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene.
