Southern Fulton 75

Southern Fulton fought back but came up just short Monday night when Tussey Mountain prevailed for a one-point Sideling Hill League win. Nick Smartt netted a season- high 31 points and also made two steals. Jordan Clingerman added 16 points, and Jacob Ashkettle followed with 10 points, five rebounds and eight assists. Brady Golden had 10 points as well.

Northern Bedford 80

McConnellsburg 59

Northern Bedford was hot from the three-point line last Monday, cruising to a 80- 59 Sideling Hill League victory over McConnellsburg. Tyler Green led the Spartan squad with 24 points, which included a trio of threepointers. Tony White dumped in 18 points and grabbed 10 boards on his way to a double-double.

Forbes Road 70

Southern Huntingdon 48

Forbes Road jumped out to an early 14-point lead and ended the non-league match over Southern Huntingdon in a decisive 70-48 victory Monday night. Tristan Gelvin poured in a careerhigh 28 points for the Cardinals during the win and also dished out five assists. Brock Broadwater netted 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Forbes Road 39

Forbes Road struggled early on only scoring five points in the first and second quarters and eventually dropped last Wednesday’s game to Juniata Valley 65- 39. Tristan Gelvin netted 21 points to lead the Cardinals during the non- league match. Chase Shaw was the team’s next-highest scorer with six points, three assists and three steals. Macklin Hawkins led the defensive effort with 10 rebounds.

Everett 65

McConnellsburg 50

Everett continued to extend its lead last Friday and ended the Sideling Hill League match in a decisive 65-50 win over McConnellsburg.

Jesse Swope netted 16 points to lead the Spartans’ scoring effort. Tyrell White followed with 11 points.

Juniata Valley 65

Forbes Road 39

Forbes Road struggled early on only scoring five points in the first and second quarters and eventually dropped last Wednesday’s game to Juniata Valley 65- 39. Tristan Gelvin netted 21 points to lead the Cardinals during the non- league match. Chase Shaw was the team’s next-highest scorer with six points, three assists and three steals. Macklin Hawkins led the defensive effort with 10 rebounds.

Forbes Road 59

Forbes Road’s losing streak was extended to 0-3 last Friday when Tussey Mountain tromped the Cardinals by a whopping 25- points. Macklin Hawkins tallied 14 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double. Meanwhile, Brock Broadwater and Chase Shaw both rallied for 12 points for the Cardinals, and Broadwater had three steals as well. Shaw chipped in four assists, and Tristan Gelvin finished with 10 points.

Chestnut Ridge 67

Southern Fulton 62

Jordan Clingerman led Southern Fulton’s offensive and defensive efforts last Friday when the Indians fell to Chestnut Ridge by a mere five points. Clingerman rallied for 21 points, five rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots. Nick Smartt and Jacob Ashkettle both had 10 points during the Sideling Hill League match.

Everett 46

McConnellsburg 43

McConnellsburg and Everett battled last Wednesday, with each of the Sideling Hill League teams prevailing in two quarters. It was Everett who would close out the match with a win by the narrow score of 46-43. Jessi Keefer posted 13 points and three steals, while teammates Nikki Fleming and Libby Strayer both finished out the match with 10 points. Sam Roberts added eight points and 10 rebounds.

Southern Fulton 51

Northern Bedford 26

Southern Fulton greatly extended its lead following the halftime break last Thursday, outscoring Northern Bedford by a margin of 23 points. Securing the Sideling Hill League match by the score of 51-26, the Lady Indians were led by Macey Hollenshead with 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Kayla Chilcote added 10 points.

Tussey Mountain 70

Forbes Road 39

Forbes Road lagged by 17 points after the first quarter, and Tussey Mountain continued to dominate, winning last Thursday’s Sideling Hill League match 70-39. Shayla Carmack was the lone member of the Lady Cardinals to reach double figures. Carmack closed out the game with 13 points. Sam Clippinger and Shania Gelvin were the next-highest scorers with six and five points, respectively.

Mercersburg Academy 43

McConnellsburg 40

Trailing for the majority of the second half last Thursday, Mercersburg Academy dumped in four points in overtime to pull ahead for a narrow 43-40 win over Mc- Connellsburg. Teammates Libby Strayer and Jessi Keefer both racked up 15 points for the Lady Spartans, and Keefer also added three blocked shots.

Chestnut Ridge 17

Southern Fulton jumped out to a 16-point lead last Friday and cruised to a sizeable 49- 21 Sideling Hill League win over Chestnut Ridge. Kayla Chilcote netted 12 points and five rebounds, and Macey Hollenshead followed with 10 points and five assists.

Southern Fulton 55

Berlin 40

Having only lost one game last year, Southern Fulton got the opportunity to avenge that non-league loss last Tuesday with a 15- point win over Berlin. Ashley Roman was the leading scorer for the Lady Indians with 19 points and nine rebounds. Macey Hollenshead followed closely with 15 points, seven assists and three steals. Taelor Morton was the next highest scorer with seven points.
