Another year of deer season has gone by. Hope all the hunters were lucky to have gotten that buck with a nice trophy rack. Some folks were up north hunting.

We send get well wishes to Dot Shaffer, who we are sorry to hear is not feeling up to par.

A lot of folks are doing that Christmas shopping and getting these decorations up, but with it all, we must take time to celebrate what Christams is all about. If it wasn’t for the Savior’s birth we wouldn’t be celebrating.

I wish to thank everyone for their acts of visits, kindness, meals, etc., while I have been laid up. God bless you all.

Happy birthday wishes to Haley Peck on December 12.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a shooting match Saturday, December 15, at 1 p.m. Shells will be furnished and prizes awarded. Our volunteer firemen appreciate your continued support. They are always there for us.

Household Hint: If you just want a few drops of lemon juice, poke a hole in one end of the fruit with a toothpick. Squeeze the desired amount from the hole and replace the toothpick. Store the lemon in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for future use.
