The weather was great for the Thanksgiving holiday. Hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with those good foods. A lot of folks really look forward to going home for that special day. Hope everyone took time to thank the Master for all the great blessings we have that day and any other day.

June Bennett of Carlisle spent a couple days with her mother last week.

The hunters have had good hunting weather for buck season. Hope all were lucky in getting their buck.

Happy birthday to Hayden Berkstresser, December 15, and belated birthday to Caitlin Black on December 1.

We hear Dot Shaffer isn’t feeling up to par, so we send speedy get well wishes to her.

I wish to thank all my family and church folks and neighbors for their kindness, food, help and visits while I have been on the recovery list.

Glad to report Lee Tice has been able to return home to his daughter and husband. We hope he continues on to a full recovery.

Santa Claus will be at Hustontown Firehall on December 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with treats for children 12 and under from Forbes Road School District.

Shooting matches at Hustontown Fire Co. will be Saturday, December 15, at 1 p.m. Shells will be furnished and prizes awarded.

Open stage at Hustontown Fire Co. Saturday, December 22, at 6 p.m. Kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Come out and share talent and enjoy the evening and also support the fire company.

Household Hint: If your child has used a magic marker on your refrigerator. It may be removed by using lighter fluid then wash with soap and water.
