Re-Creation At Cito The musical group Re-Creation will be at Cito United Methodist Church Saturday, December 15, at 7 p.m., presenting “Christmas Gold” – all the seasonal favorites. Re-Creation, known as America’s ambassadors to hospitalized veterans, will also present “Gospel Gold” on Sunday, December 16, at 9:30 a.m. The church is located at 3746 Cito Road, McConnellsburg.

Pioneer Club Pioneer Club at Rockhill Mennonite Church will begin for grades kindergarten thru eighth grade. Classes will be held December 12 and 19, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. More information may be obtained by calling Kimberly at 485- 9074.

Musical A musical, “Angels We Have Heard,” will be peerformed by the children of Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church December 16, at 7 p.m. The community is invited to join this celebration in the Faith Center and the reception that will follow.

Musical Drama Southern Huntingdon Community Choir in cooperation with the Trolley Car Community Theatre Company presents “Come See The Lamb,” a musical drama for Christmas Saturday, December 15, and Sunday, December 16, at 7 p.m., each evening at the Orbisonia United Methodist Church, Cromwell Street, Orbisonia. Seating is limited to 200 people each night

RECREATION

Singles Christmas Party Knobsville Singles will hold their Christmas party December 10 at 9 a.m. at K’s Place. There will be a $5 gift exchange.

SF Christmas Concert Southern Fulton Band and Color Guard will present a Christmas concert December 8 in Southern Fulton High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Jazz band, bands (grades 6-12), and color guard will all be performing in the concert that features festive music

Free Friday Movie Free movie this Friday, December 7, at 6:10 p.m., in the library’s community room. Rated PG. Stop in or call the library at 485-5327 to find out what’s playing.

Christmas Vocal Recital The voice students of Richard Overcash will present a vocal recital of Christmas music on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at 2:30 p.m., at Calvary Bible Church auditorium, 3845 Buchanan Trail West, Greencastle. Area students participating are Nathan Peters, Hannah Ott and Katelynn Mellott.

Mic Night Mic Night will be held at Warfordsburg Senior Center December 8, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kitchen opens at 4 p.m. Food and drink will be available. Donation is a $1. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 717-294-6020. Note the change of hours for the winter and weather permitting.

Senior Center Activities Activities at Hustontown Senior Center for December are as follows: special bingo with Jackie Jenkins from Southern Care at 10:30 a.m. - December 5; Bible study with Pastor Elliott at 11 a.m. - December 6; nutri/ ed class at 10:30 a.m. - December 10; bingo at 10:30 a.m. - December 12; van trip to Golden Corral and Christmas Tree Shops in Hagerstown (weather permitting) - December 14; Christmas dinner with Forbes Road students caroling and serving lunch - December 19; blood pressure screening - December 20; center closed - December 24 and 25; bingo - December 26. Shooting Match Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a shooting match Saturday, December 15, at 1 p.m. Shells will be furnished and prizes awarded.

Open Stage An open stage will be held Saturday, December 22, at 6 p.m., sponsored by Hustontown Fire Co. Kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

PASR Christmas Trip Fulton PASR invites all those interested in seeing the Oglebay Christmas lights to attend. The Oglebay resort (near Wheeling, W.Va.) has more than 300 acres of lights. Parents And Family Members Of Addicts Support group to help family members of addicts cope and deal with the one they love who is struggling with addiction. Free. Refreshments provided. Meets every Monday at 6 p.m. at 292 Buchanan Trail. Call Susanne at 717-414-9695 for more information.

Nutrition Class Fulton County nutrition awareness classes are held at Warfordsburg Senior Center on the third Monday of every month. When the third Monday is a holiday, it is held the fourth Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. To register or sign up for lunch, call 717-294-6020.

McConnellsburg AA Meetings The McConnellsburg Chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous will meet on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. every week at the Alumni Building Basement, McConnellsburg.

Free Blood Pressure Screenings Free blood pressure screenings will be given at the following locations: Mc- Connellsburg Senior Center the first Thursday of every month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Hann’s Apartments the second Monday of every month from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Warfordsburg Senior Center the third Wednesday of every month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Hustontown Senior Center the third Thursday of every month from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Yoga Classes Reaching Wellness yoga classes will be held for all ages every Wednesday, 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., at Community State Bank. Call for cost and to register at 717-485- 4492.

Community Wellness/Silver Sneakers/Prime Community Wellness/Silver Sneakers/Prime will be held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Fulton County Medical Center cardiopulmonary rehab gym. Blood Drive A Red Cross blood drive will be held Tuesday, December 11, at McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church, corner of Maple and Second streets, from noon to 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Free Flu Clinic A free flu clinic will be held Thursday, December 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at Fulton County State Health Center, Penn’s Village Shopping Center, Buchanan Trail, Mc- Connellsburg.

Addicts Helping Addicts Addicts Helping Addicts meets every Wednesday at 6 p.m. This is a peer-led support group for addicts struggling with drug addiction and needing help in their recovery. Free Meal A free meal will be served the second Tuesday of each month at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 220 North Third Street. Please join in for good fellowship.

Operation Restore The Shore The families of Ocean and Monmouth counties in New Jersey are still dealing with the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. Please donate at least one unwrapped toy item by December 12 to Community Resources for Independence, 201 Lincoln Way West, Suite 109, McConnellsburg. Christmas Tree Sale Mercersburg Boy Scout Troop 143 will be selling Christmas trees at Bob Hoffman Chevrolet lot the month of December. Monday thru Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday noon thru 8 p.m. All proceeds go for troop events.

BINGO

Bingo Shade Gap Fire Co. will hold bingo at the Shade Gap Ladies Auxiliary building every Thursday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and games start at 6:30 p.m.

McCbg. Bingo McConnellsburg Fire Co. will hold bingo every Monday and Friday of each week. Bingo starts at 7 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m.
