Downs First Buck
Rebekah Sourbier of Greencastle dropped an 8-point buck with a 20- inch spread on Monday, the opening day of the two-week, statewide deer season. The longest tine on Sourbier’s very first buck is 9 inches. Sourbier is the 19-year-old daughter of Jim and Karen Sourbier of Greencastle and the granddaughter of Glen and Beryl Palmer of Warfordsburg and the late Jim Sourbier III and Martha Sourbier of Waynesboro. She killed the deer while hunting with her father on the family’s property located in Bethel Township.
