Pa. Club Disc Jockey Gunned Down; 2 Men Sought
EASTON, Pa. (AP) – Police in eastern Pennsylvania are searching for two suspects in the slaying of a club disc jockey.
The Northampton County coroner identified the victim Saturday as 43- year-old Ervin Holton of Easton.
Police say Holton was found gunned down on a porch on the city’s south side Friday night.
Friends say Holton worked as a DJ at local events and clubs, including the restaurant owned by former boxing champ Larry Holmes.
Holmes tells The Express Times of Easton that he lost sleep wondering why Holton was killed. He says Holton always had a smile on his face and never argued with anyone.
District Attorney John Morganelli says the shooting does not appear to be random.
Police say they are seeking tips from the public.
