Birthday wishes to Jacyie Moody, 7 on November 22; Jackie Deshong, December 30; Randie Mellott, 36 on November 23; Emma Bivens will observe her 96th birthday December 5; Carl Knable and John Duffey, November 3; Lynette Helman, December 4; Dolly Miller and Martha Sheffield, November 5; Robert Hoffman Sr., 82 on November 29; David Bivens, December 3; Pastor John Godissart, December 4; Wendy Mellott, December 5; Joyce Wright, December 6; and Don Diehl, December 7.

Sympathy goes out to the families of Merrill Regi and Grace Grissinger, who passed away last week.

It was very kind of the churches and other organizations that served dinners for the community and also delivered meals to shut-ins and senior citizens on Thanksgiving Day. The meals were well received and very tasty.

County folks saw some snow around the area on Saturday and Tuesday.

The North End Garden Club met on Tuesday in the home of Joy Anderson, where they made Christmas swags for Leisure Living Retirement Home.

A dodgeball tournament was held Saturday in Mc- Connellsburg Alumni Community Building and an oldfashioned card party was held on Saturday night.

Wanda Souders and Deb Welsh enjoyed a trip to Tennessee, including the Smoky Mountains, Gaitlinburg and Pigeon Forge and attended the Lady-Vol volleyball and basketball games.

Forbes Road’s Corri Parsons was chosen Public Opinion field hockey player of the year. Corrie is a senior and hopes to go to Lebanon Valley College. Carol Cline was chosen coach of the year. She has been coaching for 35 years.

Field hockey all-star players were first team – Corri Parsons and Sammie Clippinger from Forbes Road; second team – Shania Gelvin, Malea Truax and Brittany Truax from Forbes Road; and honorable mention – Cora Wilt and Olivia Mills, also from Forbes Road.

Volleyball all-stars were first team – Gabby Danner and Jesse Pittman, Mc- Connellsburg; and Abby Hawkins of Southern Fulton.

Girls soccer all-stars were first team – Nikki Fleming, McConnellsburg; second team – Sarra Kendall and Kylie Zittle, McConnellsburg; honorable mention went to Sam Roberts, Abby Peck, Alexis Mellott of Mc- Connellsburg, and Morgan Strait of Southern Fulton.

Boys soccer all-stars were first team – Jesse Swope; second team – Hunter Miller; and honorable mention – Tristen Deneen and Caesy Randler, McConnellsburg; Mason Bard and Taylor Boher of Southern Fulton.
