Outreach Schedule McConnellsburg United Methodist Church November outreach schedule is as follows: Wonderful Wednesdays (November 28) – 5:30 p.m. meal and 6:30 p.m. worship; Walk Through Bethlehem – Friday, November 30, at noon. Worship services Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.; Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. Anyone needing transportation to any of the events may contact the church office at 717-485-4815 and leave a message. All requests shoud be made at least 48 hours prior to the schedule event.

Re-Creation At Cito The musical group Re-Creation will be at Cito United Methodist Church Saturday, December 15 at 7 p.m., presenting “Christmas Gold” – all the seasonal favorites. Re-Creation, known as America’s ambassadors to hospitalized veterans, will also present “Gospel Gold” on Sunday, December 16, at 9:30 a.m. The church is located at 3746 Cito Road, McConnellsburg.

River Oaks Helpline A Christian crisis counseling/prayer phone line is now available. Caring and compassionate Christian volunteers are available from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily to listen, pray with you and help to find solutions for the challenges you are facing. Contemporary Worship Contemporary worship service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Sunday, December 2, at 11 a.m. Informal service with live modern music and children’s message. Pioneer Club Pioneer Club at Rockhill Mennonite Church will begin for grades kindergarten thru eighth grade. Classes will be held December 5, 12 and 19, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. More information may be obtained by calling Kimberly at 485- 9074.


Senior Center Social Night On November 30 Warfordsburg Senior Center’s social night will consist of a pilgrim/ pioneer theme. Seniors 60 and over come dressed as a pilgrim, pioneer or Indian and enjoy the evening. Barb and Forrest will be the DJs for the evening. Bring a covered dish, meat is furnished. Musical Drama Southern Huntingdon Community Choir in cooperation with the Trolley Car Community Theatre Company presents “Come See The Lamb,” a musical drama for Christmas Saturday, December 15, and Sunday, December 16, at 7 p.m., each evening at the Orbisonia United Methodist Church, Cromwell Street, Orbisonia. Seating is limited to 200 people each night

Singles Christmas Party Knobsville Singles will hold their Christmas party December 10 at 9 a.m. at K’s Place. There will be a $5 gift exchange.

Christmas Vocal Recital The voice students of Richard Overcash will present a vocal recital of Christmas music on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at 2:30 p.m., at Calvary Bible Church auditorium, 3845 Buchanan Trail West, Greencastle. Area students participating are Nathan Peters, Hannah Ott and Katelynn Mellott.

Line Dance Fulton County Line Dance Club will hold line dance sessions every Wednesday (except the first Wednesday of the month) beginning at 7 p.m. at VFW Post 655, Poplar Street, McConnellsburg. All are welcome. Come and learn some new steps. A $2 donation is appreciated.

PASR Christmas Trip Fulton PASR invites all those interested in seeing the Oglebay Christmas lights to attend. The Oglebay resort (near Wheeling, W.Va.) has more than 300 acres of lights. Free Blood Pressure Screenings Free blood pressure screenings will be given at the following locations: Mc- Connellsburg Senior Center the first Thursday of every month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Hann’s Apartments the second Monday of every month from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Warfordsburg Senior Center the third Wednesday of every month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Hustontown Senior Center the third Thursday of every month from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Addicts Helping Addicts Addicts Helping Addicts meets every Wednesday at 6 p.m. This is a peer-led support group for addicts struggling with drug addiction and needing help in their recovery. Basket Bingo A basket bingo will be held Saturday, December 1, at McConnellsburg American Legion to support Tristan Douglas, who was diagnosed with cancer. Legion Meeting American Legion Post 561 active members regular meeting is the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. Auxiliary members meet the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. Members of both organizations are urged to attend.

Eichelberger Town Meeting Sen. John H. Eichelberger, Jr. (R-Blair) will host a town hall meeting in Fulton County Tuesday, December 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Fulton County Courthouse, 201 North Second Street, McConnellsburg. These meetings are part of the senator’s effort to make state government accessible for all people in his district. Town hall meetings are open to the public, providing residents with a chance to speak directly with the senator about issues important to them.

Democratic Meetings The Fulton County Democratic Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Democratic Headquarters building at 123 South Second Street in McConnellsburg. Scout Meeting Boy Scouts of America Troop 43 meets every Friday night from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the VFW, 518 Lincoln Way East, McConnellsburg. It is open to all boys 11-18 years of age.
