HAVFCO Helps With Hurricane Sandy Relief



Four members of Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. were deployed as part of Southern Alleghenies EMS Council Region 09 EMS Strike Team to help aide those in need after the destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy. Ambulance Chief Brian Barton, Assistant Ambulance Chief Christine Englert, Lt. Shelby Knepper and EMT Randy Black spent several days in South Jersey, assisting with hurricane relief efforts, shelter care operations, portable hospital standby and search and rescue assistance.
