Three Springs Calendars Now On Sale

Three Springs Historical Society is selling a 2013 calendar with historical photographs (black and white about 7 inches by 10 inches) of the Three Springs/Saltillo area featured each month. Included in the 2013 calendar are pictures from Three Springs of Stinson’s Clover Farm Store, the Mineral Springs, early construction of the United Brethren Church, currently Grace United Methodist Church, the Ashman House Hotel, which was located directly across the street from Stinson’s Clover Farm Store, an EBT engine, a picture of Allen Cutshall’s huckster wagon in front of the Wilson Hotel, currently owned by Dennis and Brenda Urban, a picture of the interior of Huston’s Store, and a picture of the dinky cars from the Ganister (stone) quarry.

Pictures from the Saltillo area include The Golden Rule Store, owned by W.E. Hammond and son, Iron Spring Hotel, currently owned by Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Wing, an old steam tractor with all steel wheels, digging a ditch for a waterline circa early 1900s, and the Tannery with railroad tracks in front. The cover of the 2013 calendar features an aerial photograph of Three Springs.

Calendars are $8 each and are available at Three Springs Mini Mart, T&T’s restaurant, New Wave beauty salon, Three Springs office of Community State Bank or from any board member of the T.S. Historical Society.
