Fred L. Devinney Blain, Pa., 66

Fred L. Devinney, 66, Blain, Pa., died Thursday, November 8, 2012, at home.

He was born February 22, 1946, at Blairs Mills, to the late Orlando and Helen Mae (Parson) Devinney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura B. (Jeffreies) Devinney on October 3, 2011, and a sister, Mary Hockenberry.

He was employed at Kirby Kitner Excavating, New Bloomfield, and had worked for Chuck Morrow and Three Mile Island.

Surviving are a daughter, Carol A. Scott, and her husband, Rodney, Blain; a son, Ted L. Devinney and his wife Tammy, Blain; his fiancee, Monica D. Hoover; six siblings: Charles Devinney and his wife, Christine, Fayetteville; Carl Devinney and his wife, Julia, Spring Run; Donna Bishop and her husband, Harold, McConnellsburg; Linda Johnson and her husband, Eugene, of Doylesburg; Audrey Rowles and her husband, Marty, of East Waterford; Barbara Reeder, McConnellsburg; three grandchildren: Rebecca Scott, Rodney Scott Jr., and Tasha Devinney; and a great-grandson, Tyler Scott.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 13, in Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, PA 17047. Rev. Judy Rowles will officiate. Burial was in the Blain Cemetery.
