Local Kids Raise Funds To Help Cody Trail
Kids from the local Modern Woodmen of Amrica Youth Service Club recently worked together to raise funds to help their community. As part of the organization’s matching fund program, the kids’ community dance project raised $500 to benefit Cody Trail.
Modern Woodmen matches money raised by the club up to $500, so the local club’s donation totalled $1,000.
The McConnellsburg club is one of approximately 800 youth clubs nationwide that provide young Modern Woodmen members with opportunities to volunteer, be patriotic, learn new skills, make friends and have fun. Club members donate more than 300,000 hours of volunteer service each year. The matching fun program offers club members the chance to show their support of a community cause or an individual in need by holding fundraisers.
Last year, matching fund projects conducted by Modern Woodmen chapters and youth service clubs raised $6.5 million to contribute to community projects, local organizations and individual sin need. To get involved with the local club, contact Cheryl Cutshall at firstname.lastname@example.org.
