Mary L. Stevens Fayetteville, 85

Mary Louise Stevens, 85, Fayetteville, died Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Chambersburg Hospital.

Born May 4, 1927 in Clear Ridge, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Gladstone T. and Olive M. Stains Cromwell.

She enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother, but most recently becoming a great-grandmother. She had a caring heart and enjoyed going out to eat with the girls and giving her greatnieces and nephews ice cream money.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John C. Stevens, whom she married June 19, 1945; her daughter, Karen (wife of the late Jeffrey) Ulrich; granddaughter April ( wife of Randy) Fickes; grandson Cody Ulrich; greatgrandson Corbin Jeffrey Fickes, all of Fayetteville; and her step-granddaughters: Nicole and Cierra Fickes, both of Chambersburg; a sister, Delores Cromwell of Medina, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, greatnieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents and son-in-law, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles A. Stevens; her twin sister, Lena Parks; and four brothers, Lewis “ Dean” Cromwell, Albert “Mike” Cromwell, Walter Cromwell, and Charles Ramsey.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral and Cremation Center, Chambersburg. Pastor Kenneth Cornelius officiated. Interment was at Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
