Donald M. Ritchey Everett, 87

Donald M. Ritchey, 87, Everett, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Altoona Regional Health System.

He was born on April 20, 1925, in Everett, a son of the late Earl and J. Velma (Fletcher) Ritchey. On February 20, 1948, in Winchester, Va., he married his wife of 64 years, Ethel W. (Bowman) Ritchey.

Along with his wife he is survived by the following children: Karon Ritchey, married to Melvin Huston, Bedford; E. Lon Ritchey, married to Petra (Koerner), Chattanooga, Tenn.; D. Lynn Ritchey, married to Patricia Ann ( Samuel), Everett; brothers and sisters: Francis Ritchey, Everett; John Ritchey, married to Ann, Ft. Myers, Fla.; Julia Ann Browell and companion Meade Dickey, Ft. Myers, Fla.; J. Marlene Corley, Bedford; grandchildren: Erica and Megan Huston; Jennifer Price, Misty Hollar, Christopher Galipeau, Jacqueline Semore and Michelle Ritchey; Jeremy, Jason and Brian Ritchey; and great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Trystin, Antonia, Jadon, Mason, Catilena, Ally, Emma and Austin.

He was preceded in death by the following siblings: Austin, Willard and infant siblings Melvin and Jane Ritchey.

He served in the United States Army during World War II.

He was a member of Yeager Lutheran Church and attended Everett United Methodist Church.

He was a partner and founder in Tri-County Milk Haulers, Everett, from 1959 until his retirement in 1991.

He was a 50-year member of Everett Masonic F.&A.M. Lodge No. 524 and also the Jaffa Shrine, Altoona.

He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 5, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Everett United Methodist Church. Pastor Debi Decker officiated.

Burial was held in Everett Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.

Akers Funeral Service, Everett, was in charge of arrangements.
